FAQ

What is Kinesiology?

Originally Kinesiology referred to the study of muscle movement. Today Kinesiology has developed into a therapy which uses muscle monitoring to communicate with the body’s healing intelligence and energy balancing to remove stress. It is a combination of Eastern energy medicine and Western techniques.

Kinesiology restores balance and health to neurological and physiological function. Profound changes may be experienced emotionally, mentally and physically, thereby increasing a person’s health and well being.

How does Kinesiology work?

Muscle monitoring challenges the bio-feedback mechanism in all muscles to reveal imbalances within the body. These imbalances are caused by blocks to the normal flow of energy. These imbalances may present as physical pain, mental discomfort and the many expressions of dis-ease. These can include allergies, depression, postural problems, poor performance levels, learning and relationship difficulties, digestive and nervous disorders .

Muscle monitoring gives instant access to holistic information held by the core operating unit of the entire body-mind system – the subconscious. This normally inaccessible domain holds all our memories, information about physical, emotional, mental and energetic states and also determines our muscle tension. Accessing the subconsious allows the Kinesiologist to quickly determine the specific strategy to best reinstate to the body’s balance and assist the natural healing processes.

What can Kinesiology/Kinergetics treat?

The real goal of any Kinesiology ‘balance’ is to identify the bottomline cause of any imbalance and then resolve it. It may be nutritional, emotional, structural, psychological, energetic or even spiritual – something as simple as an ‘attitude’, or a forgotten memory.

In a Kinesiology session these are some of the common areas which we scan and rebalance the body’s energy:

  • Organs
  • Glands
  • Chakras
  • Body hydration pathways
  • Acupuncture meridians
  • Immune system
  • Microrganisms
  • Digestive system
  • Nutritional status
  • Heavy metals & toxins
  • Emotions
  • Muscles of neck, back, shoulders
  • Belief systems
  • Brain integration
  • Jaw-TMJ muscles/structures

Kinesiology can help help clients with anxiety, depression, a history of trauma or abuse, addictions, self-sabotage, co-dependency and phobias. Kinesiology is also effective in treating health problems like chronic pain, low energy, candida, allergies, recurring infections, sports injuries, arthritis and many others.

What is RESET?

RESET is a Jaw treatment to relax the muscles, nerves and ligaments of the jaw, enabling the Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) to reset back into its normal position.

RESET treatments help jaw pain, clicking jaws, teeth grinding, tinnitus, sinus problems, headaches and tight neck and shoulder muscles.

RESET also can help many other conditions distant from the jaw, related to the body’s muscles, neurology, glands and organs.

What is Homeopathy?

Homeopathy is a system of medicine which stimulates the body‘s own healing processes based on the principle of ‘like cures like’. A homeopathic medicine is prescribed on the basis of your symptoms, your personality and your unique experience of the condition. It acts like a mirror image of you and your symptoms and a searching interview is undertaken to find the best possible match. Homeopathy treats the whole person and works on all levels, physical, mental and emotional. Homeopathy is also effective for first-aid, travel illnesses and natural birthing.
